First Gen Dodge Crossover Steering Upgrade
One of the most effective upgrades for your First Gen Dodge is upgrading to a high-quality NorthWest Fab Crossover Steering System.
Factory steering systems aren’t designed to handle suspension lifts or the added stress of larger tires. These changes often lead to issues like bump-steer, roll-steer, and reduced steering control when your suspension is articulating.
Our Crossover Steering Kit solves these problems by completely reworking your steering geometry. It replaces the factory "push/pull" setup with a longer, lateral-moving draglink that runs from the new Pitman arm to a passenger-side steering arm mounted on the knuckle—giving you tighter, more responsive steering on and off-road.
*Note: This Steering System requires the Steering Box to be relocated from the 4wd position to the 2wd position, eliminating the weak factory Adapter*
*Note: In some instances a new steering shaft from Borgeson will need to be acquired to complete the conversion*
