As off-roading continues to evolve—with bigger tires, more horsepower, deeper gearing, and tougher trails—our drivetrain components face more stress than ever, especially the transfer case.

The Dana 300 has long been respected for its compact design, lightweight cast iron case, and broad aftermarket support. But that same lightweight design has its drawbacks. The open-bottom design compromises structural integrity, and the factory 14-gauge stamped steel inspection cover offers minimal support, leaving the case vulnerable under heavy load.

The Solution:
Our Dana 300 Billet Aluminum Inspection Cover addresses these weaknesses head-on. It's up to 8× thicker around the perimeter and over 3× thicker in the center compared to the stock cover. This added rigidity greatly reduces case flex and improves overall strength—without adding excessive weight. In fact, it weighs less than 1 lb more than stock and increases oil capacity by 2 oz.
